You can access the high resolution texture pack and dlc's through the DATA FILES option which is present in the menu, when you launch skyrim launcher.exe...
Tick the corresponding add on's checkbox....

*If for some reason,you are unable to access the DATA FILES option,follow these steps:
Go to My Documents/My Games/Skyrim and open a file with the name SkyrimPrefs.ini...
It'll open using notepad,scroll down at the end and look for the lines:

Add a line and modify it like this:

bShowAllResolutions=1
uLastAspectRatio=3

Now you should be able to access the DATA FILES through skyrim launcher....

Hey guys I have a ? I've played this game on the X-Box & loved it & I wanted it for my computer. I downloaded it, replaced a few missing .dll files it said I didn't have & it works but I have no sound what so ever. I have the sound on my computer all the way up & in the control panel of the game I have the sound up. Can someone please help. thanks

for any .dll error u just have to dwnld and insall dxwebsetup...
For ur sound problem do this :
All u have to do is to turn on 'loudness equalization' in your speaker poperties....
u can search on google how to turn on loudness equalisation.....
If u have a realtek hd audio manager,, check at the icons at the bottom right of ur pc (where date is shown),, in these icons there will be a speaker icon,,from open the realtek speaker properties,,then open the enhancement tab,,then check the box of 'loudnesss equalization'..dats it..
if it's not present their,, check in the control panel (hardware and sound )......

Hey rock thanks so much for the help solving the problem with the sound it worked like a charm. I just have 1 more question if I may, the .bin files you included I take it there the expansion files, how do I get the to work to install tem, the data files button is greyed out and I'm not quite sure to open them. I've already started a new game but only at the riverwood village so I'm not far into it if I have to uninstall & reinstall. Thanks again my friend for al the great help.

No problem,, .bin r not the dlc's,, u don't have to install them separately or smething,, dey r installed automatically,,after the installation before starting the game u had to do dis if 'DATA FILES' is greyed out , I hve wriiten it in description

Note: Since u have started playing the game,, this would be located not at the end but at some middle location of 'SkyrimPrefs.ini'....
if it still does not appear den check wat I explained to @cryoftime to do....
As a last resort u can try reinstalingl the game.....u can backup ur save games,, dey r located in
C:UsersPc nameDocumentsMy GamesSkyrimSaves
just paste dem after reinstalling the,, I think it gives u a option of not deleting the savegames before uninstalling...... hope dis works fr u....

uninstall the game,, reinstall it and open the skyrim launcher as it wud be still greyed, don't launch the game,, exit the launcher....
Now go to this torrent's description where I hve written 'Add a line and modify it like this',, now luk at the next 4 lines....
use ur mouse to select all the 4 lines and den copy dem and paste them at the end in 'SkyrimPrefs.ini'....
U may be committing a typo mistake,,just copy from description,,the 4 lines dat I hve written....

Damn, I have windows 8.1 (which does not have loudness equalization) and im running across the .dll audio error "The program can't start because X3dAudio1_7.dll is missing from your computer, try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

@void5150: u didn't tick the checkbox for directx in the setup,,update ur directx manually now,,it's In the 'Redist' folder, when u mount the image and open it...
loudness equalisation may not even be a issue on ur system,, or u may be having dolby home theatre,, activate those if sound is low.......

@razorsword: steam_api.dll is already present,,it's either u messed up with it or ur antivirus may have restricted it from being installed,,try dis,, uninstall the game,,,disable ur antivirus and install the game and install 'dxsetup' present in 'Redist' folder of the iso,,u don't need to dwnld anything else.....

Hi! I've done everything you recommended to enable DATA FILES option, but nothing worked. Have uninstalled the game and reinstalled and still the option is disabled.

ps. When I open the SkyrimPrefs.ini for the first time, it looks like this:

And then I leave him like this:

bShowAllResolutions = 1
uLastAspectRatio = 3

[Launcher -
bShowAllResolutions=1
uLastAspectRatio=3

Now modify it by adding a line like dis:

[Launcher -
bEnableFileSelection=1
bShowAllResolutions=1
uLastAspectRatio=3

Note: use ur mouse and select and copy these 4 lines and replace them with those previous 3 lines,, don't write anything urself, just copy and paste wat I hve written.......

It should now be located at the middle of 'skyrimPrefs.ini',,if problem exists,,uninstall and reinstall.......
